Age and Content
1. First and foremost, this website does not tolerate any writers under the age of eighteen. We will only roleplay with adults, and we do not permit any person(s) under legal age to participate here due to the mature nature of our content.
2. Our content here is open and just about anything goes here. Sex, drugs, violence, strong language, etc. are all permitted so long as there is an established comfort level between writers. If you are not okay with sex or with violence, let whomever you are writing with know this! It is your responsibility to do this, and if you fail to do so, you cannot be upset with your writing partner because they were not aware of your sensitivity to the subjects.
3. With that being said, this is not to be used as a forum to just play out sexual fantasies. It is allowed, but we do not allow it to be the main purpose of your character. Same goes for violence; your character isn't realistically going to be fighting for their life every second of every day, so calm it down a bit.
Behavior and Activity
1. Be courteous to all staff and members. Unnecessary harassment of any type will not be tolerated. Violation of this rule will result in a warning from an Administrator, and any further activity of this manner will result in the deletion and banning of your account. This also follows us into roleplaying itself; while drama and cruel encounters will happen from time to time, constant harassment of one character by another is not tolerated (unless you have discussed it with that character's author beforehand). Slandering and offending other members is unacceptable as well.
2. There will be no god-modding of any type. You are not allowed to control the actions of other characters, and you are not allowed to inflict any life threatening injuries upon another character without speaking to their writer first! With that being said, you cannot be all powerful either; if someone hits you in the face, for example, dodging one punch is reasonable, but you cannot dodge all attacks thrown your way unless discussed with the other writer prior to the event.
3. Activity is to be taken seriously here. This plot is going to be active and require a lot of attention from all writers, so we ask that writers post at least twice a week per character (or, if your character is involved in five threads for example, post once in each one). If you have two characters in five threads, then we expect ten posts from you that week. There is NO CHARACTER LIMIT, but this is to keep people from getting in over their heads and having numerous inactive characters. If you cannot manage that many posts, then you will be stripped of your additional characters until you can be active enough with them.
4. THERE WILL BE LORE POSTED ABOUT DRAGONS. YOU MUST FOLLOW THIS LORE IF YOU PLAY A DRAGON AND ANY DIVERGENCE OF IT WILL RESULT IN A WARNING. 3 STRIKES AND YOU ARE OUT. Know the powers of the dragon you are playing and stick to them. If your dragon has a human form by lore then you can switch to and from dragon to human. If the lore states you don't then you do not get to alter that. Under any means.
Face Claims and Images
1. For your profile picture, the size needs to be exactly 220px x 350px in order to work with our layout. With that being said, only linked images will work. That means that if you upload your image from your computer, it will not fit correctly, even if it is the correct size. This means that you must upload your picture to a hosting site to produce a URL (we suggest tinypic.com), and then link the image to your profile. If you need assistance with this, let Administration know.
2. You absolutely must post your face claim in the Face Claims thread, where we will keep a log of all claimed faces. Failure to do so can result in someone else taking your character. And, in such a case, the face claim will be given to the new applicant who claims it properly - resulting in you having to find a new face claim for your character. Keeping in mind that this is a medieval fantasy rp, we realize that some FCs are going to be a little... off. Please post a link if you cannot find source.
Registering
1. When registering, you are not allowed to put spaces in your username. Because of this, we do not care what your username is, though we do suggest this format: “firstnamelastname” because it is easier to remember and identify. Ex: AliceTurner
2. Your Display Name is what we do care about. We want this to be uniform and clean looking for all characters, so every name needs to be the same. To edit this, go to Edit Profile > Personal > Display Name. It should appear as such: Firstname Last name. Ex: Alice Turner
Application and Coding
1. Absolutely NO special abilities will be granted for anyone with out specific consent. If theres a certain type of character you'd like to play that you aren't sure about, ask Administration. We will be glad to help you out.
2. Our application template contains coding that you will not be accepted without. The codes aren’t complex or difficult, but we understand that not everyone is very good with that sort of thing. Because of this, all staff members are willing to offer assistance with answering questions regarding application completion via PM. If a member is around to assist you, that is also fine.
3. On one piece of the application regarding OOC, there is a question that reads, “Did you read all rules?” To prove that you read all of this, the proper answer to the question is: “Thank you Commander!” Without this appropriate answer, you will not be accepted.
4. In order to be accepted, you must gain the approval from Administration. All judging will be fair and will not discriminate against age, gender, race, etc. The only thing we require of you is a creative mind and writing skills. With that being said, all content is to be written in third person. Ex: "The fox jumped over the fence when he smelled the delicious aroma of food." Not acceptable: "He shrugs, sits down next to the fire, and crosses his legs," ; "I start running and look back at you over my shoulder."
5. Since Administration is really short staffed right now, it may a day for us to get your application approved. Most applications will be accepted within the first twenty-four hours, but some may take up to forty-eight depending on how many applications are in the queue. If you haven't heard anything after forty-eight hours, PM an Administrator to notify them.
